NordAgri and Hortimed open their office in the Elemental Business Centre

Elemental Business Centre has concluded an office lease agreement with peat companies NordAgri and Hortimed, who moved to the office complex already at the beginning of May. The office premises of both companies are located on the 7th floor of the Elemental Green building, occupying a total of 282 m2. The transaction for the lease of premises took place in cooperation with the real estate agency Kivi Real Estate.

Nord Agri and Hortimed were founded in 2014 and 2017 in Latvia, quickly gaining international demand. Nord Agri develops peat substrates, while Hortimed offers ecological and innovative growth promoters produced from local freshwater lake silt. “In 2018, we started developing new innovative products for export in cooperation with the University of Latvia, and in the same year we received an award for this idea – “Trademark of the Year – for the World”. At the moment, when part of the export goals have already been achieved, we want to offer these products to the Latvian market,” says Roberts Leitāns, a member of the board of Nord Agri.

The sales manager of Elemental Business Centre, Imants Krēsliņš, emphasizes that the activities of both companies in providing renewable resources are in line with the sustainability values of the office rental complex, so there is especially great pleasure with the new tenants.
“NordAgri and Hortimed are companies that Latvia can be really proud of, because they prove that not only local, but also international recognition can be achieved with work and confidence. It is always a pleasure for us if we can be part of the image of Latvian companies and, by providing them with an office space, promote the compliance of these companies with the highest standards.”

“When choosing Elemental Business Centre as our home, we weighed various options, but still kept to the most sustainable choice. As a nature-related company, the building we are in is also important to us. And the buildings of Elemental Business Centre are exactly like that. Location is also a very important factor. We are satisfied with our choice,” adds R. Leitāns.

Kivi Real Estate real estate consultant Artūrs Rundzāns also emphasizes that the demand for sustainable work spaces among companies is growing: “The choice of the new office spaces of Nord Agri and Hortimed proves how important the issues of energy efficiency and ecological sustainability are currently for companies. More and more companies want their positioned values to be reflected in their office, office building, as well as in line with the lessor’s vision. The office located in the Elemental Business Centre will certainly serve very well as a business card for the company.”

Elemental Business Centre consists of two interconnected office buildings. The Elemental Green building, where the offices of Nord Agri and Hortimed are located, was the first to open and is currently the most actively occupied, while the Elemental Blue building already houses Fiziocentrs physiotherapy clinic and Elemental Spaces co-working spaces.

The complex of office buildings is already occupied by such tenants as Swedish financial holding company Marginalen AB group companies GelvoraSergel and Aizdevums.lv, the international IT services company Arvato Systems, CV Market, Primend, Kapitel, Dyninno Group, and Rimi.

Currently, 2,000 m2 of office space is still available for rent in the office centre, while almost 90% is already leased. There are still available premises for companies of any size, starting from 100 m2.

About Elemental Business Centre:
In October of this year, the State Construction Control Bureau of Latvia commissioned Elemental Business Centre, the total investment of which exceeds 60 million euros. The construction works of the project were carried out by SIA Merks, and its developer is SIA Kapitel. Elemental Business Centre consists of two buildings with a total leasable area of 21,000 m2.
The project is on its way to receiving the BREEAM Outstanding rating, thus becoming the first building in Latvia with the highest possible rating. Elemental Business Centre buildings are also the first in Latvia, which are connected by a parametric facade. In the construction of buildings, energy piles were used, which are able to provide up to 72% of the building’s heating and cooling needs, significantly reducing the costs of utilities for tenants.
