New Rimi Mini store opens at Elemental Business Centre

On November 1, a new Rimi Mini store opened its doors to customers at Skanstes street 25, Riga. This is the second Rimi Mini city centre concept store, which will be located in an office and residential area in Riga. In total, it will be the 60th Rimi Mini store in Latvia.

The new store stands out with a comfortable, customer-friendly and environmentally friendly, modern environment, where special emphasis is placed on a transparent, functional arrangement and an assortment of goods appropriate to the location.

In the 179.4 m2 sales hall of Rimi Mini Skanste, according to the latest concept of mini-market format stores, goods of various categories will be available, and workplaces will be provided for 12 employees. For the convenience of customers, the store is equipped with one traditional and three self-service checkouts. Unlike other mini-market stores, this store has two entrances – the street-side entrance and the entrance from the lobby of the office building – for employees and guests of the office building. For short moments of relaxation, you can buy Rimi coffee to take away, prepared products, as well as freshly baked muffins.

“The mini market is the second smallest of Rimi’s store formats, where customers are provided with quick and convenient shopping, and in the assortment you can always find your favourite everyday products – milk, bread, meat, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. Rimi Mini Skanste, like the other 59 stores of this format, will be a convenience store, but taking into account the location and city centre concept, it will be more oriented towards office workers and their buying habits – here you will have the opportunity to buy prepared products, as well as gifts for colleagues and guests. Thanks to the store’s location, we expect customer interest during various cultural and sports events,” says Inga Bite, public relations manager of Rimi Latvia.

LED lighting and energy-efficient cooling systems are used in the premises of the new store, and light sensors are also used in the employees’ premises. The heat pumps built into the piles of the building where the Rimi Mini Skanste store is located will be able to produce up to 72% of the heat energy for the needs of the entire Elemental Business Centre office building. Also, the office building is on its way to the highest rating of the BREEAM certificate – Outstanding, which guarantees that the chosen office premises meet the world’s most recognised sustainability standards and are energy efficient. Visitors to the store will be able to park their cars in the parking lot of the office building – the first hour will be free of charge.

The store’s working hours will be every day from 08.00 – 22.00.
