Elemental Skanste has been awarded as the most sustainable project in Latvia in 2019 when participating in the competition “Sustainability in Architecture, Construction”.

Latvia is currently the only one in the Baltic countries which holds a competition for the most sustainable or valuable object for the seventh consecutive year. The winners of the Sustainability in Architecture, Construction, Design 2019 competition were announced at a ceremony in 24 September 2019, serving as a guide to good architecture in the industry.

Organizers of the competition – Association of Building Design and Construction Council, partners – Ministry of Economics and Bureau of State Control of Construction.

The aim of the competition is to search for and to highlight the objects whose value is expressed in economic operating expenses, sufficient air exchange and environmental friendliness, which is determined by the use of quality materials.

The competition has four nominations: The Most Sustainable Building, The Most Sustainable Project, The Most Sustainable Public Outdoor, The Most Sustainable Student Idea.
